Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 1-1/4 oz. pkg. chili seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 28-oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 15-1/2 oz. can chili beans
  • 1 Optional: 4-oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste
  • Biscuit Dough:
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup milk
